Hello. My name is Jay Rose Ana. I am a poet, writer, and spoken word performance artist from the West Midlands in the UK.

Why I Created Life Amongst The Wildflowers
It started, as most good things do, with a cup of tea.
There was something quietly persistent about the idea — like a wildflower growing through a crack in the pavement. A character who wasn’t loud or heroic in any grand way, but who noticed things. Small things. The kind of things that only become poems when someone is paying close enough attention. Her name came quickly: Barbara. Barbara Plant.
She just seemed to be.
Barbara lives in the margins, in between laundry lines and nettle beds, in half-sipped mugs of tea and notes scrawled on the backs of receipts. She’s not one for fuss, but she believes in the quiet bravery of living gently — and honestly. Through her, I could explore the soft, thoughtful parts of life we often overlook. The tenderness in weeds. The logic of biscuits. The poetry of a cloud that just won’t move on.
Life Amongst The Wildflowers grew from a desire to create something that feels like a deep exhale. A place of warmth and wry humour, where small kindnesses matter and the world tilts slightly towards the curious.
Barbara isn’t me, exactly. But she’s someone I’d like to sit beside. And maybe you would, too. So welcome — pull up a deckchair. There’s tea in the pot and something funny happening near the fence again.
